Cyclelogistics, enterprise and development: the Italian case
This report is based on the Bachelor thesis of Edoardo Repetto. In his work he analyzes the development of cyclelogistics enterprises in Italy. The hypothesis is that this sector has not developed thus far in Italy because of a lack of knowledge of its potential. The thesis aims mainly at determining the success factors for cyclelogistics operators and the scalability of this model. It investigates the conditions to improve operational, logistical and relational aspects to icnrement the diffusion of these companies. The secondary objective is to present the shortcomings that hinder this sector. On the one hand, by focusing on restrictions imposed for the selection of logistics operators. On the other hand by evaluating the attitude of public administration towards sustainable mobility. The thesis focuses in particular on the case of the city of Rome.
